Nikki Timberlake began working with animals when she was 12 yrs old. She has always owned pets of one kind or another all of her life and they became her passion and great love at an early age. Nikki says she has always been a sucker for a furry face and is amazed at the way they have the ability to just melt her heart and move her soul. Nikki’s mother worked at a Veterinary Clinic that took care of both large and small animals and she would spend her summers helping around the clinic instead of playing outside like the rest of the kids in her neighborhood. She recalls that she enjoyed caring for and loving on the animals because they always seemed to loved her back with so much ease. When she thinks back at the memorable times of her childhood, pets are always involved in some way or another.

Nikki had her heart set on going to school to be a vet so she started in the animal science program at New Mexico State University. However, she ended up getting married instead and her dreams were put on hold. She continued to work for several different veterinarians throughout the years and very much enjoyed working with animals and learning how to care for them. She began doing some pet sitting for the clients of the clinic who wanted to go out of town but didn't want to board their pets. When the holidays rolled around she wanted something special to give to her clients and their pets so she started baking dog treats for them. Her client’s dogs loved the treats so much that she began getting many requests for them. She soon began baking them all of the time. As time went on her list of clients for both the pet sitting and the treats continued to grow and one thing led to another and that is how Pawsotively Purrfect came to be.

Today Nikki continues to enjoy baking treats and caring for her client’s pets. She put together a great team of pet lovers to work with her and help her service the needs of her many clients in the Southwest Florida area.

Doris Florez is a native of Colombia who is now happy to call Fort Myers home sweet home. She is a natural animal lover by heart and her passion for animals began with her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian. She was the little neighborhood girl that always picked up the abandoned puppy or kitten on the street and nursed it back to heath and gave it a good, loving home.

Her dream of studying veterinary medicine was unfortunately never realized due to lack of funding. She did, however, attend school, studied hard and received a degree in Business Administration but never left her passion for animals.

Doris says she has an immense love for animals and loves to especially care for the sick ones and nurse them back to health. She loves to play and pamper animals and hates to see any pet suffer. She feels animals are a great gift from God that give us humans’ good company and teach us how to love unconditionally. Pets are loyal and faithful; they are therapeutic and beneficial for every home. Doris says she feels a deep sadness for all those people that don’t enjoy the benefits of a loving pet on a regular basis.
